Visiting With The Zaguras

Last weekend, the Zaguras from CT (my parents) and the Zaguras from NC (T & R) flew in for a short visit with us in Baton Rouge.  I wanted to share some snapshots and memories from their visit with all of you today!

My parents were supposed to fly into Charlotte and meet with T&R there, and all fly in together on Friday night.  Unfortunately, the leg from Charlotte to BTR got cancelled and they couldn't make it in until Saturday morning.  However, they couldn't fly into BTR so they flew into New Orleans.  This meant we had to pick up the rental van (my parents decided to rent one because neither of the Barton vehicles hold 6 people), and Mike got to drive "Big Bertha" for the weekend-- he said it felt like driving a bus!
Mr. B resigned to not drive a mini van ever.

R making silly faces in the van on the drive from New Orleans to BTR.

Read more after the jump!

We went home, had lunch, then went back out to show everyone our new house.
Us with R in front of the house

Uncle Mike with R in the backyard after throwing rocks and bottling up sand from our backyard

Later that night, we had a birthday cake and "party" for T, whose birthday was a few weeks earlier.  Happy belated birthday!

 Gotta love 'em.

Missy wanted nothing more than to spend every waking moment in the pool, and we were lucky that we had good weather and could do so!  Mike & I even taught her how to backfloat.. you can see here, Mike's not even touching her!

All dressed up and ready for dinner

One of my favorites.  Mike says he can't decide whose face is better: R's or Dora's!  They were two peas in a pod the whole weekend.

 Lover her kitty jammies!

Although Dora did get slightly overwhelmed at times, and coped the only way she knows how-- haha.  I have only seen her do this twice!  I think she just needed some space.

We also took R to LSU to show her where Uncle Mike works and to deck her out in some LSU swag.  She loved her mini Mike the Tiger.  No harm in encouraging her to go to college early on, right? 5 isn't too early! ;)

All ready to go to the airport-- R in her LSU gear-- new tshirt and mini Mike the Tiger!

R and Uncle Mike. Tiger in 13 years?  Guess we'll see! :)

After saying goodbye and dropping everyone off at the airport, their flight got cancelled AGAIN going home!  We made the best of it though, and enjoyed every minute!

We are so grateful to have had time to spend with my family and had a great time!  Only wish that the time could have been longer and they lived closer!
