First, happy mother's day! I hope all of you incredible mamas out there had a wonderful, relaxing day filled with love and appreciation for all that you do for us! While I can't be with my mom, mom-in-law, or my grandmothers this mother's day, I am overwhelmed with admiration and love for them, and spent the day reflecting on everything they have done to help me get to where I am today. So thank you-- without you, life would be not nearly as wonderful, and certainly a lot more boring! ;)
I wanted to pop on and share a quick house update with ya'll-- on Friday, our roof got shingled! We drove by around 2pm after an impromptu lunch date at our favorite restaurant (hey, we gotta survive finals week somehow) and it was already just about done. Thank goodness they finished when they did, because it POURED later Friday afternoon.
All shingled and pretty! This photo is from Saturday afternoon-- and you can see that with so much rain our "yard" turned to mud-- I almost lost a good pair of sandals to that mud! Luckily they rinsed off nicely ;)
Can you believe only two weeks ago we just had slab? Craziness.
This week, we are looking forward to the electrical work being installed and insulation sprayed into the walls. After that, maybe even later this week depending on how long everything takes, outside bricking and inside drywall will begin! We have some exciting stuff to look forward to and I will be back with updates!
