We knew the day would come...

We knew the day would come when they would lock the doors to our house.  And that day was yesterday.  We drove over after dinner to find all three doors into the house...locked.  So, we couldn't get inside, but we were able to see the work they'd done on the outside and peer in through the windows (like such creepers).

So they did some work on the outside of the house!  They painted our stucco (I'm hoping it'll dry a little lighter than this) and put our house number up!  Actually, looking at it now, they may have given the front door a second coat of paint, too.  So the outside is nearly done-- they will put the lights up on the garage when they do the rest of the lights in the house, and of course they will landscape.  But, the house itself is nearly done on the outside!

Like I said, we were able to be creepers and peer in through the windows-- this photo is taken through the front door (we will definitely be getting some kind of blind setup for this door).  And, it became clear why they locked the doors-- our appliances are in!  Wooooo!  So this means they are getting close to installing them and then putting the countertops on! I think once this happens (the countertops go on) it will really start to feel like a house.

So, I guess we will be going down to posting 1x a week-- likely on weekends when we can get in while the neighborhood's realtor will be there with the keys so that we can get into the house!
