Floors: Part 1

Hello all!  The last thing that was done on our house was the painting toward the end of last week.  We figured they were letting the house all air out (it was very fumey in there from the paint) but we were itching for something new to be done.  Today, we were pleased to see that the floors had been laid.  I named this post "Floors: Part 1" because the tile is not grouted yet and the carpet is not in the bedrooms, but this will give you a better idea of what the main space will look like.

Tile floor all laid in the main room. We are so glad we upgraded to the 16" tile. This picture is a little dark, but it is more true to life (no flash).

A more full-flash photo.  The wall color translates sort of funny in this one, but you get the idea.

Tiling in the study.

Tiling placed around the tub in the master bath.

Entryway tiled.  It will look different once the (white) grout goes in for sure.  Once that grout goes in, I'm sure we'll be even more glad that we upgraded to the larger tile.

So the tile is in the main room, study, second bathroom, laundry room and all of the "hallway" areas.  Carpet will go into the bedrooms.  I can't wait to see what it will look like with the grout in-- so much brighter I bet!  The bags of grout were in the garage today, so I bet I know what they'll be doing tomorrow! :)
