Baton Rouge Apartment Tour!

Now, for the moment we have all been waiting for! The much-anticipated apartment tour!

Let me preface this by saying I put this off for quite a while. I wanted it to be as final, as ready-to-go as it could be at this point.  Our families, and Mike and I, put a lot of blood, sweat, tears, shopping and time into making this apartment look nice, and we are really grateful for everyone's help!  Of course we will continue to decorate as time goes on, but we are both really satisfied with the progress we've made.  We have a home again! :)

 Welcome!

Here is the view when you walk in our front door.  You can almost see all the way back to our bedroom.

Our guest bathroom.  Still some decorating to do in here!

 Guest Room/Michelle's office
The guest room, where our guests will sleep, and my office, where I work!
Close-up of my setup.
View of our kitchen and dining room as you walk in.
Kitchen!  Nice and open, with lots of counter space and a dishwasher!
 Kitchen view again
We have an entire laundry room! Clearly we are still trying to figure out how to best organize this space, but what's important here are the machines, and I am in love with them!  One of our favorite purchases together, yet!
What you see when you wash dishes.  In case you were wondering. :)
Our dining room and barstool set up
I LOVE our dining room.  This is a new table and chair set, new turquoise cabinet, and new mirror and accessories.  It is so nice to have a grown up space!  We got some LED branches for the big vase in the corner that I'm dying to try out!
Mike in our living room.  My sincere feeling is any newly-wed couple should have to build a gallery wall: what a test of a relationship!  I think our compromise worked out beautifully.
Our living room and kitty cat.  If you look closely, you can even spot Mr. Mouse!
Decorating for autumn!  Somehow Mike let me talk him into seasonally decorating our mantel!
Master bedroom.  Very minimalist right now, but it's bright and big and lovely!
Vanity in the bedroom with new acrylic organizers. I am so happy to have two different areas for makeup and writing-- in Albany I was using the same desk for both, which would not be ideal for working from home. :)
Master bathroom.  This is one of the largest bathrooms I've ever been in.  Most of it is wasted space, but it sure makes up for the last bathroom we had!
The other side of the bathroom: shower (a REAL shower!) and closet.  We still need to organize the closet some, but it's huge!
Patio area.  You can sort of see our cute lantern lights and our basil plant that I miraculously have not killed yet!

Video Tour

In case a video is more your style, I have taken a video tour so you can really feel like you're here!  We know many of you are very far away and we wanted to make it feel like we're all a little closer together.

Thanks for taking our tour!  We would love to have you visit, you are welcome any time!  I'm sure we will keep updating, and I will post updates from time to time, as well! :)
